Our short-term goals
Step 1: To concern ourselves with animals in local
authority refuges and improve their situation.
Step 2: To set up private rescue centres and/or refuges where
animals can be accommodated on a medium-term basis and which therefore provide appropriate conditions.
Step 3: To build up a network for re-homing animals with members of
the public. This should essentially be here in Mallorca, since flying dogs out of the Island cannot work as a long-term solution.
Our long-term goals
- To educate the public. For example, by distributing copies of the Balearic
animal welfare laws to owners who are not keeping their animals in accordance with the regulations.
- To network with other associations and communities across the Island. - Simply to have the opportunity at some time to get to the root cause of the
problem and castrate or sterilise as many animals as possible. - To re-home animals in Mallorca so that we can monitor the situation more
closely and also recruit new members, firstly so that we have more financial scope to operate and secondly so that we have more political influence.
